get out your checkbook!  WAIT!  Before I do all that, what is CROP
Walk?  CROP walk is an international effort coordinated by
interdenominational Church World Services to end hunger globally.  25%
of the funds we raise will go to our very own New Gloucester Food
Pantry.  The rest goes to Church World Services - a great group
helping folks impacted by natural and man-made disasters in the US and
abroad.

Come out and meet some of your favorite tweeps IRL! (In Real Life, as if you didn't know.)

April's Maine Tweetup will be Thursday night, 6pm - 9pm, 4/28 at Brian Boru's.

Chicken Rototillers!

I like to use my chickens to rototill my garden!  It's amazing what those little birds can accomplish!  First of all they eat weed seeds and bugs and second they scratch and aerate the soil .  Finally all they time the do this they are adding nitrogen rich manure to the soil.  It's a win win!  Enjoy the video!

Sabbathday Lake Grange to Honor Gray Auxiliary Food Pantry

New Gloucester, Maine - On Friday, May 13, 2011 Sabbathday Lake Grange #365 will be having an open house to honor the Community Auxiliary Food Pantry of the First Congregational Church of Gray.  They have been chosen as this years recipient of the Community Citizen Award.

The food pantry has been in operation for two years and serves the towns of Gray and New Gloucester, and anyone else needing assistance.
