Blog Improv! It's interactive blogging | People

I started blogging two years ago when I went to California for six months with my friends. We were going to study at Cal State San Bernardino. I had been in maine my whole life and just wanted to go outside my comfort zone, and since I had never traveled further then O'Hare airport in Chicago we decided to head to the wild west. I maintained a daily video blog about my travels and experiences to share with family and friends back home. More about that trip in future blogs. 

I stopped when I got back home, and that brings me to this, my current blog that I want all of you to have a hand in making! 

I like to tell stories, it's what I do. But for some reason when it comes to blogging my mind goes in hyper active mode where I think of a hundred different things I want to blog about. Blogging is such a strange and unknown concept if you think about it, it's like discovering a new new frontier. It's a concept that millions of people around the world are trying to figure out. If you search "how to blog" in google (which I have to admit I did) you'll find guides on how to write a blog. When I read them I psych myself out. All the rules and guidelines to have a successful blog are crazy! People actually write books on how to blog. It baffles me how we are so concerned about how to blog, we study it! However I have to admit I almost bought one of those books. Blogging in my opinion should be semi-informal and most importantly FUN! 

I was at work venting to a friend who also blogs on the AROUND TOWN site, and she gave me great advice. And it was, "there are no rules to blogging. Don't worry about anything but being yourself." It inspired me. We came up with a great idea, it's a fun interactive way to blog that neither of us had ever seen before. We call it "blog improv."

How it works is you leave me a comment on one of my blogs of an idea and I write about it. It's that simple! It will be fun! It can be about anything. It can be about entertainment, news, gossip, a subject, an item, a place, Just about anything. But keep it PG folks, or PG-13. I won't do anything nasty so use your own judgement on whats acceptable. Say you even only said, "blue." My blog would be based around the color blue. I would probably talk about the ocean and why I love the ocean and water, how basically my whole wardrobe is all blue etc. fun random stuff. 

So I leave you with this fun challenge. Try it out. Send me something to blog about. You name it, I blog about it. :=)
