LOVELL, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - A 15 year old girl has been badly hurt in a boating accident on Kezar Lake in Lovell.
Wardens say Robert Mueller of Houston, Texas was operating a boat that was dragging an inflatable raft this afternoon when the boat hit a a submerged rock.
Five people were in the boat and a boy was on the raft. Three girls sitting in the bow of the boat were thrown into the water. One of them, Mueller's 15 year old daughter, Abby, was then run over by the boat. Her leg was severed between the ankle and the knee by the propeller.
She was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital. Robert Mueller sustained a cut to his head and was treated at the scene.
No one else was hurt.
