Naples Causeway open for boaters, paving has begun | News
NAPLES, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - The causeway in the town of Naples is now open for recreational boating.
Tuesday night, Maine DOT crews finished removing the swing bridge. The next step is paving on Route 302.
It will begin Thursday and continue Friday from the causeway eastbound toward Windham for about one quarter mile, including the intersection of Route 35.
Paving hours on Thursday will be from 6:30am to 7:30pm and Friday from 4:00 AM until noon.
While traffic delays are expected, flaggers will be in the area to guide motorist through alternating one way traffic along the paving route.
