GORHAM, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The State Fire Marshal's Office says a fire that burned grass and brush around a home on Route 237 is another case of arson.
The fire was reported just before 1:30am Wednesday.
Officials say this was the sixth suspicious fire in Gorham in the last three weeks. Five of those fires have been officially declared arsons.
The unoccupied house at 363 Sebago Lake Road was the apparent target, but investigators have determined that the wind blew the fire away from the house and into grass and brush.
Investigators ask residents to continue to keep an eye on their neighborhoods. Suspicious activity can be reported to the Gorham Police Department at (207) 839-5581.
