Have You Ever Been Kiteboarding?

Have You Ever Been Kiteboarding?

Today as I was doing some "work" AKA blogging from Pine Point Beach in Scarborough I thoroughly enjoyed watching a couple of the kiteboarders that were cruising up and down the beachy coast. They were flying! Literally, at times! I realized that kiteboarding [I was calling it wind surfing until a friend corrected me] was one of those extreme sports that I will most likely never try... I'd panic, let go and jump off the board before I started flying through the air, but not that guy! It was FUN to watch!

I did a little research and found MASSkiting, which is New England's premiere kiteboarding resource. It definitely is NOT a beginners sport, so make sure you do your research before you start kiteboarding up & down the Eastern seaboard! ;)

TALK TO A NURSE ABOUT NURSING IN THE PAST AT THE FALMOUTH HERITAGE MUSEUM

What was nursing like in the days gone by? Do you know what it was like to ‘attend’ a mail order school of nursing?

The answers to these questions can be found at the Falmouth Heritage Museum display of nursing memorabilia including clothing, invalid feeders, bed pans and many other items used by the nurses of old.

The Museum is located at 60 Wood Road in Falmouth past the Falmouth Police Department. It is open every Saturday in July and August from 10 am to 3 pm.

Movies: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon"

Movies: "Transformers: Dark of the Moon"

“Transformers: Dark of the Moon” is a tender love story involving young Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf) and his statuesque girlfriend Carly (British model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, replacing Megan Fox in the series because Fox injudiciously compared director Michael Bay to Adolf Hitler).  Poor Sam has trouble finding work in Washington, even though he saved the world in two previous “Transformers” installments, and his hyper-critical parents are coming to visit.

Oh, wait, there are some giant robots involved as well.  The Autobots are the good ones, the Decepticons not so much.
