High School Student Musicians Invade USM | Arts & Culture
Title (Max 100 Characters)

As day one of the MMEA sponsored All State Music Festival came to a close, the 447 participating high school musicians were treated to
entertainment with a twist. Opening the program was Zac Stearns, a junior at Hall-Dale High School and member of the All State chorus,
who warmed up the audience with his original stand up comedy routine. He was followed by a cappella singing group Ball in the House,
a five member male singing group based in Massachusetts. Their renditions of songs from the 1970's to present day were received by
enthusiastic students who showed their appreciation with an impromptu dance session. The performances were equally enjoyed by students
and their directors who come together every year to celebrate the outstanding musical achievements of Maine's best high school musicians.
The entertainment was a welcome respite after a long day preparing for the All State Festival concerts to be held at Windham High School
on Saturday, May 21st.
