Rec Cafe makes voting in Harrison a treat
News

HARRISON, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- The recreation department in the town of Harrison is doing its part to make voting a real treat this Election Day.

For the past three general elections, volunteers run the Rec Cafe at town hall. When you come to vote, you can also pick up breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert. All the food is donated by local cooks and bakers, and all the money raised goes to rec programs and staff. Two years ago, during the presidential election, the rec program made $2,000 on Election Day.
