Events, Health

A full afternoon of family fun and activities on Sunday, 14th November will help raise funds to support local resident Jessica Bowden who at 33 is undergoing treatment for breast cancer.  Activities, including dance lessons, music, games, face painting and more, will take place at Roscoes Rockin’ Buffett on Roosevelt Train in Raymond from 1pm till 5pm.   As well as activities the event will have door prizes, a silent auction and raffles including amazing prizes donated by local businesses.  There is something for everyone - and tickets are just $10 and available at the door!

Jessica, who has lived all her life in the area, has just completed her final chemotherapy for breast cancer but still faces radiation therapy and massive surgery.  As a young single women who recently purchased her first home in Windham, bills are mounting up from the unexpected medical costs.  Her family has all banded together to hold this event to help raise some funds to offset the costs of surgery and welcome everyone to attend.

Entertainment from Flamin’ Raymond and Sizzlin Suzzin’ - a local favorite entertainment group who perform regularly at Point Sebago throughout summer, will lead the family fun.   Prizes and auction items include a weekend getaway worth $650, gift certificates, hours of carpentry work, psychic readings, jewelry and much more.
