Fasten your seat belts, uber party planner Sid Tripp of Proactive Resources Design & DownEast Pride Alliance fame, is at it again this Halloween. On Saturday, October 30th, 2010, Tripp will be throwing his 15th annual Halloween Bash at Mariner's Church, featuring the bloodcurdling sounds of uber cover band Under The Covers.
Tripp is expecting 450-500 people at this year's Halloween gala event.

DeLise Decor opened its doors in the Portland’s bustling Old Port district in June, and has been creating a buzz ever since. Apartment Therapy (www.apartmenttherapy.com) has hailed the DeLise Decor collection as "drool-worthy" and locals and visitors alike are finding an enchanting experience at the shop.

Owner Lisa Daggett spent the last 13 years in New York City and has moved back to her native Maine to open the shop. She and her team of pickers comb the New England landscape for vintage and antique paraphernalia.

Food Drive

Domino's Pizza stores in Windham, Maine  and Gorham, Maine will be hosting Two "Fill The Truck Food Drives" to benefit the Windham Food Pantry and the Gorham Food Pantry on Saturday November 6th from 11am to 7pm.  During these hard economic times more and more people are turning to these organizations for assistance.  We want to do our part to give back to our communities.  We will be collecting non perishable items and monetary donations from now until 7pm November 6th at both store locations.

Standoff ends peacefully

GRAY, Maine (NEWS CENTER) - Police say an hour long standoff in Gray ended peacefully when the suspect surrendered early Friday morning.

State Police and the Cumberland County Sheriff's Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance around 1:30 AM Friday. 

State Police tell us a man in the home on Old Elder Road initially refused to come out and an ahour long standoff ensued.

Around 2:30 AM, though, Michael Mains surrendered to police.

He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail.
