NAPLES, Maine (NEWS CENTER) -- A 79-year-old is being recognized for saving two men after a canoe overturned in Brandy Pond Tuesday night.

The Cumberland County Sheriffs Office said it received a call from a woman named Roberta Sorensen in Naples about two people in Brandy Pond off Jackson Cove Rd. The two subjects were yelling for help and were saying they couldn't hold on any longer.

The caller's husband, 79-year-old Edward Sorensen, got into his row boat and went out onto the lake in the dark in hopes of locating the two men yelling for help.
